Police have arrested a youth named Riazul Howlader (25) for allegedly sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl at Morelganj in Bagerhat.

The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon in the village of Khauliia in Khauliia Union of the Upazila.

The victim was rescued and given first aid at Morelganj Hospital. A case was filed with the police on Tuesday night.

Riazul is the son of Mannan Howlader of Gwatla village. The accused, Riazul was sent to Bagerhat court on Wednesday morning.

Morelganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) Thakur Das Mondal told that the child was abducted by a fisherman near the house of Khaoliya village on Tuesday afternoon.

Tuesday afternoon in the village of Khauliya with the temptation greedy to bake biscuits a child. this child was sexually assaulted by a fisherman at a house. The locals rescued the child when the child shouted crying. A case has been filed in this case.
