An earthquake epicentred along India-Myanmar border sent tremors to different parts of Bangladesh, according to media reports.
A moderate earthquake jolted Chattogram, Rangamati, Bandarban, Khagrachhari and Cox’s Bazar districts on Thursday afternoon.
The tremor measuring 5.9 magnitude on the Richter scale was felt at 5:47pm.
The epicentre of the quake was 95 kms south of Chattogram and 25 kms southwest of Myanmar, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
However, no casualty was reported.
