The High Court on Wednesday has ordered Brac Bank Limited to pay Tk 15 lakh compensation to Jahalam.
A bench of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahsan and Justice KM Kamrul Kader gave the order.
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan confirmed the matter.
Besides, the High Court bench warmed the ACC about the recurrence of Jahalam like incidents in future.
The ACC lawyer said he expected that the real accused would be arrested soon. I heard that he fled to India. However, the border agency has been informed about it. India has also been informed. It is being delayed due to Covid-19. I am hopeful that he would come within the range of touch soon.
