Police arrested Sabuj Al Sahba, a vice-president of chhatra League Dhaka city North unit, in a case filed for raping a girl in the capital.
Earlier, a 22-year-old girl filed a rape case against him at Mirpur Model Police Station.
The Officer-in-charge of the police station confirmed the arrest.
“I have no information whether Sabuj Al Sahba is a Chhatra League leader or not,” the OC said.
