The human trafficking unit of CID has repatriated 9 victims of human trafficking in Libya. In the course of the investigation of the case, the statements of the victims were taken for the description of the incident, the overall details of the incident and the relevant evidence.

Bangladeshis were killed and 12 were injured in a brutal massacre by human traffickers in the Libyan city of Mizda. A total of 26 cases were filed in this regard.

The victims are- 1. Firaj Bepari 2. Janu Mia 3. Omar Sheikh 4. Sajal Mia 5. Tariqul Islam 6. Bakul Hassan 6. May Ali 7. Sehag Ahmed 9. Saidul Islam | OM Arrived at Shahjalal International Airport on a special flight VZ 218 of Barrack Air, a joint venture between Bangladesh and Libya.

The CID has taken 15 cases on its own initiative and the investigation of the case has already taken confessional statements of many including the arrest of the accused.

A Red Notice will be issued soon through Interpol for the arrest of brokers and key accused stationed abroad.

After the barbaric incident, the CID co-ordinated with the concerned authorities to bring the injured victims back to the country.
