A case has been filed against CNG auto-rickshaw driver on a charge of allegedly sexually assaulting a 3-year-old girl in Alam Market area under Kadamtali Police Station in the capital, according to media reports.

Accused Kajol (22) remained absconding since filing of the case with the police station.

The minor girl was sent to One Stop Crisis Center (OCC) of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for medical examination at 11:00 am on Tuesday.

The Sub-inspector (SI) of the police station, Md Imrul Hasan confirmed the matter.

He said the child lived with her parents in Kadamtali Alam Market area. Her father is a day laborer and mother is a housewife.

On Sunday noon, CNG auto-rickshaw driver Kajol sexually abused the girl at her house when her parents were in work.

Later, people in the area caught Kajal red-handed and beat him. At one stage, Kajal managed to escape from there, he added.
