One of the country’s largest wholesale cloth market Narsingdi Shekherchar-Baburhat all kinds of local cloth will be available online. This online hut called kaparpatti.com has officially started its journey for the convenience of the retailers of the country.
This information was given by the CEO of Kaparpatti.com Md. Al Mamun in a press conference on the day of Digital Bangladesh on Sunday (December 12). Also present on the occasion were Selim Jahangir, CEO of Garments Buying House Association, Khandaker Shahin, Chief Coordinator of Shahin Information Technology, Sorman Hossain and Ismail Hossain, officers of Kappar Patti Limited.
According to the press conference, Shekherchar-Baburhat, one of the leading wholesale cloth markets in the country known as Manchester in the East, sells on certain two days of the week. Besides, the sale and purchase of this market has been negatively affected due to various reasons including the Corona situation. Although all businesses have the touch of modernity and technology, the market for these native cloths is lagging far behind. The wholesale buyers in different parts of the country are also suffering. In order to facilitate the wholesalers and sellers, digital hats have been taken to increase the sales of all local textiles including looms across the country. After the test, the online cloth market “kaparpatti.com” has officially started its journey from Sunday. After seeing the fabric samples directly at 12 points of the country, the retailers will be able to order any type of fabric while sitting in the shops.
