Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam has tested positive for Covid-19 for the second time.
The mayor and his family members took Covid-19 tests and the reports came positive on Tuesday afternoon, says a DNCC press release.
All are receiving treatment at home, it added.
Atiqul, who was infected with Covid-19 earlier in 2020, sought blessings from all for his earliest recovery and that of his family members.
