Two earthquakes within 1 second, epicenter Badda: BMD
The country has witnessed an earthquake for the fourth time in two days. The capital was hit by two tremors just a second apart on Saturday evening, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department said.
According to the BMD, the first earthquake was recorded at 6:06:04 PM, with a magnitude of 3.7 while the next second tremor was felt at 6:06:05 PM with 4.3 magnitude. The epicenter of both earthquakes was Badda, Dhaka.
The Meteorological Department recorded a 3.3 magnitude tremor with its epicenter in Palash, Narsingdi, at 10:36 am today.
The previous day, on Friday (November 21) at 10:38 am, a strong earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale was felt in various parts of the country, with epicenter was Madhavadi in Narsingdi. The earthquake killed 10 people, including children and more than 600 others were injured.
