Worshipper breathes his last while prostrating in mosque
A worshipper named Abul Hossain Talukder (65) has breathed his last while prostrating during Isha prayers in Nalchiti Upazila of Jhalokati (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun).
On Saturday (January 3) night, while offering Isha prayers at Kumarkhali Bazar Mosque, he suddenly fell into a deep sleep while prostrating. After the prayers, when the worshippers did not respond to him, they went closer and realized that he was dead.
He was buried at the family graveyard after the funeral service at 11am on Sunday (January 4). The sudden death caused a wave of mourning in the area during the funeral service, with many devotees and relatives seen getting emotional.
Abul Hossain Talukder is the son of the late Abdul Mannan Talukder of Timirkathi village in Dapadpia union of Nalchiti upazila. He had been doing farming for a long time to earn a living.
According to local sources, he was busy harvesting rice all day on Saturday. After offering Maghrib prayers at home, he went to Kumarkhali market to do some shopping. Then, he entered the mosque to offer Isha prayers and died while prostrating before Allah.
His cousin Saiful Islam Talukder said, ‘The way Allah took him is truly a blessing. His journey in this world ended in worship.’
According to the locals, Abul Hossain was an honest, calm and religious man. He used to pray regularly and was known as a decent farmer in the area. His death has cast a shadow of grief over the area. Many are seeing this death as a dignified end for a religious man and are praying to Allah Almighty for his forgiveness.
