Five persons were arrested for raping a teenager in Natore last night. According to information, police conducted a raid and arrested the five suspected rapists and rescued the victim, reports our local correspondent quoting Natore Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Monsur.

Police says, the victim went out of her house yesterday around 3:30 pm after being upset with her family members. She was on the way to her aunt’s house when he met one Shahidul Isam (22) who then offered to take her there.

One the way, the culprits noticed Shahidul and the victim and followed them, said the OC.

“At one point, Md Shariful Islam (22), Md Liton (23) Md Abir, Nayan Sheikh (25) Raju (25), Kajal (25) Astul (36) and Aminur Rahman snatched the victim from Shahidul, took her to a nearby lemon grove and raped her,” he added.

Five of them were arrested whereas three others are still at large, the OC also said. – Daily Star
