BNP out to create street chaos in grab of movement : Obaidul Quader

News Desk: Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Wednesday said that BNP is once again trying to create street violence and terror in the name of movement.
Quader made the statement during a briefing at his Secretariat office.
The ruling party leader said that by changing the party’s constitution, BNP has become a safe haven for corrupt people.
He also said that BNP has never shown the courage to take action against corruption.
He claimed that BNP is in mega pain as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government is implementing mega projects.
Reminding the BNP leaders of their past statements, Quader said that they had once said that the Padma Bridge would collapse anytime, but the BNP leaders are now crossing the bridge.
Regarding BNP leaders’ stand on the election and against the Election Commission, the AL leader said that BNP held farcical elections in the past wearing military uniforms. They staged yes-no votes, elections without voters, and sometimes took away the rights of people to vote by creating fake voters.
So Obaidul Quader said that the talk of impartial election by BNP is a joke.
He said that even though BNP wants to forget those misdeeds, the people have not forgotten their inglorious past.
Referring to the failure of BNP in the political arena of this country in the election as well as in the movement, the general secretary of the Awami League said that in the past, when BNP was in power, it could not establish any development that was acceptable to the people and could be seen by the people, due to which their distance with the people widened
Quader said that it is impossible to reduce the distance from the people only by lip service and lofty speeches. UNB
