Rain, thunderstorms likely in Dhaka, other districts by noon

The Meteorological Department has said that storms and thunderstorms with a maximum speed of 60 kilometers per hour are likely to occur over 12 districts of the country, including Dhaka.
This information has been given in the weather forecast for the country’s river ports from 5 am to 1 pm on Wednesday (August 6).
A meteorologist, MD, signed the forecast. Toriful Newaz Kabir said that rain or thunderstorms with gusty winds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour are likely to occur over Dhaka, Pabna, Tangail, Faridpur, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, and Chattogram regions from the south/southeast.
River ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1 during this time.
Meanwhile, the latest 120-hour forecast for the entire country has said that light to moderate rain or thunderstorm accompanied by temporary gusty winds is likely to occur in most parts of Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions and many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions today. Along with this, moderate to very heavy rain is likely to occur in some places across the country. Day and night temperatures may decrease slightly across the country.
