HSC exam results on Oct 16, to be available online or via SMS

The date for publishing the results of this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations has been finalised. The results of this examination will be published on October 16 (Thursday).
Professor SM Kamal Uddin Haider, convener of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Sub-Committee and Controller of Examinations of the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, confirmed this to the media on Monday (October 13) afternoon.

Professor Kamal Uddin told the media that all processes have been completed. The Ministry of Education has made a final decision to publish the results on October 16.

Later, a notification in this regard said that the concerned institutions will be able to download the results through the EIIN of the board and institution by clicking on the results corner of the website www.educationboardresults.gov.bd.

How to obtain results:

Candidates can download their respective institution’s result sheet by clicking on the results corner on the websites of all education boards and entering the EIIN of the educational institution. In addition, candidates can collect their results from
their respective educational institutions, through the integrated website address of the education boards www.educationboardresults.gov.bd and the website of the concerned board.

The results can be obtained through SMS to the designated short code 16222.

However, results will not be available at education boards, the Ministry of Education, or newspaper offices.

Applications for re-scrutiny will be accepted from October 17 to October 23 through https://rescrutinu.eduboardresult.gov.bd. The application procedure will be announced on the education boards’ websites and through notifications in newspapers.

Mentioned that this year’s HSC and equivalent examinations began on June 26 and ended on August 19. The exams ended a little later than scheduled due to the postponement of some subjects. According to the rules, the results have to be published within 60 days of the completion of the written examination.

This year, 12,51,111 students under 11 education boards filled out forms to take part in the examination. Of these, 6,18,150 were male students and 6,33,096 were female students. The examination was held at a total of 2,797 centres across the country.
