Electronic device in the body of a bird

A bird with an electronic device attached to its body was recovered from Dhalghata in Maheshkhali, Cox’s Bazar. Locally this bird is called tutak bird. On Monday (September 26), a local teenager spotted the bird at Swiss Gate in Pandit Dale area of the government’s ongoing project economic zone in Dhalghata of the upazila.
Seeing the electronic device on the bird’s body, the teenager informed the chairman of the local union council. Later local UP Chairman Kamrul Hasan rescued the bird.
In this regard, UP Chairman Kamrul Hasan said, the bird has been rescued and kept under the supervision of the Union Parishad. An electronic device was found in the bird’s body.
He also said that Maheshkhali Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Yachin and Forest Department have been informed about this. Initially thought to be a trans meter. These transmitters can also be attached to monitor the bird’s lifespan and movements.
Maheshkhali Gorakghata range officer Anisur Rahman said the bird is still in the custody of the chairman. Our team is going there to fetch the bird. After bringing the bird, it will be handed over to intelligence agencies. Details will be known after investigation.
