Shafiqul Alam, the Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser, said that inflation is declining rapidly due to the Interim Government’s well-thought-out policies and strategies.
He informed this in a post on his verified Facebook ID on Monday (July 7).

He wrote on Facebook that inflation is declining rapidly due to the well-thought-out policies and strategies of the Interim Government. According to data for the month of June 2025, point-to-point inflation stood at 8.48 percent, which is 2 percentage points lower than in August 2024.

He further wrote that food inflation has come down significantly to 7.39 percent, the lowest in the last two years. Non-food inflation has also started to decline and will come down very quickly in the future.
