New price of gold effective from today

The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has increased the price of gold in the country’s market again. On Tuesday (July 22), it was decided to increase the price of gold by Tk 1,050 per bhori, which will be effective from today.
At the new price, the price of 22-carat gold will stand at Tk 1,71,601 per bhori. Similarly, the price of 21-carat gold has been fixed at Tk 1,63,798, 18-carat gold at Tk 1,40,400 and gold made by traditional methods has been fixed at Tk 1,16,127 per bhori.
This is the 43rd re-adjustment of gold prices this year. Out of these, the price has been increased 28 times and reduced 15 times. The last increase in price was fixed on July 7, when the price of 22-carat gold was increased by Tk 1,575 per bhori to Tk 1,70,551.
Last year, BAJUS adjusted the price of gold a total of 62 times in 2024. Of these, prices were increased 35 times, and reduced 27 times.
