Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has termed his visit to Bangladesh as “highly productive”. He strongly believes that the visit will inject new momentum into Bangladesh-Pakistan relations and lead to more exchange of visits and increased mutual cooperation in various fields.
He expressed this optimism in an X-handle before leaving Dhaka on Sunday (August 24) after a three-day visit. The Pakistani foreign minister left Bangladesh on Sunday night.

Referring to the talks with Foreign Affairs Adviser Touhid Hossain, he said, “During fruitful and comprehensive discussions between the two countries, it was possible to reach a consensus on all aspects of bilateral relations. Among the topics discussed were – high-level exchange of visits, trade and economic cooperation, cultural and people-to-people relations, education and skill development. We also exchanged views on regional and international issues, especially the revival of SAARC.”

“I firmly believe that this visit will give new momentum to Pakistan-Bangladesh relations. In addition, mutual cooperation and exchange of visits in various sectors will further increase,” said Ishaq Dar.
