Five deaths were reported from dengue in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 323 this year.
Of the new deaths, two were reported in Khulna division (Out of CC), and one was recorded in Dhaka Division (Out of CC), Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and Barishal division (Out of CC), respectively.

During the period, 1,139 more patients were hospitalized with the viral fever, raising the total cases to 81,773 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement on Wednesday.

Of the new cases, 179 were recorded in Barishal division (Out of CC), 115 in Chattogram division (Out of CC), 223 in Dhaka division (Out of CC), 254 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and 143 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

Besides, 89 new cases were recorded in Khulna division (Out of CC), 82 in Mymensingh division (Out of CC), 49 in Rajshahi division (Out of CC), five in Rangpur division (Out of CC), and three in Sylhet division (Out of CC).
