CA declares state mourning Sat over death of Osman Hadi
Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has declared a day of national mourning on Saturday (December 20) following the death of Inqilab Mancho convener Sharif Osman Hadi.
He declared national mourning in his address to the nation on Thursday (December 18) night.
The Chief Adviser said that flags will be flown at half-mast in all government, semi-government institutions and embassies abroad on that day. On Friday, prayers will be offered for Hadi in all places of worship, including mosques, temples and other places of worship. All of you will join in.
Stating that the government will take responsibility for Osman Hadi’s children and wife, he said that Hadi’s killers will be brought to justice quickly and the maximum punishment will be ensured against them. He also said that no leniency will be shown in this regard.
Earlier, Inquilab Mancha convener Sharif Osman Hadi died at around 9:45 pm on Thursday while undergoing treatment in Singapore after being shot. It is in this context that the Chief Advisor is going to address the nation.
