On Friday, December 19, a post was made on Osman Hadi’s verified Facebook page regarding the coffin. It read, “I have not lived a life of indulgence that I would need a special coffin! In a very simple coffin, with the smile of lawful blood, I will appear before Allah.” Hadi had made this statement even before he was shot, as one of the key fighters of the July movement. The body of Hadi, who passed away while receiving treatment at Singapore General Hospital, is expected to arrive in Bangladesh in the evening. His flight carrying the body will depart Singapore at 3:50 pm local time and is scheduled to land at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 6:05 pm. After the funeral prayers on Saturday, he will be laid to rest.
